LORD WASTREL, next in The Curse of True Love series.
If you've read Lord Midnight, you've seen an excerpt of this story. This was originally supposed to be the start of this series. In each book, Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, attempts to play matchmaker in Regency England . . . only she ends up placing a curse on the lovers instead.
However, a novella, Lord Rakehell's Love, decided it should start the series. So it did. You can find out more about that story in Available Books.
Here's a little bit more about Lord Wastrel, which will be available in summer 2014:
When Aphrodite plays matchmaker. . .
Society darling Lady Felicia Selby has been dubbed "Flighty Felicia", thanks to her penchant for eloping at least once a fortnight. But she has a good reason for such scandalous behavior: she's desperate to avoid the family curse, the one that promises dire consequences for failing to find her one true love. Discouraged by her latest disastrous elopement, Felicia gives up her quest, but a chance encounter with Aphrodite at a betrothal ball changes everything. Felicia falls instantly, deeply, head-over-heels in love. . . with the groom-to-be.
. . .true love can be a curse
Hugh Longford, Lord Weyson, earned the nickname of Lord Wastrel for many wicked reasons. Yet he gave up his roguish ways the day his illegitimate young daughter was delivered into his care. Determined to secure a bright future for his high-spirited child, Hugh has found the ideal woman to wed: scandal-free, a perfect role model, and someone he could possibly love one day. So why is he suddenly falling for Flighty Felicia? He's known her his entire life, but now, the rakish desire she incites threatens to disrupt his plans. It could almost make a man believe he had been cursed. . .
