As soon as I declared July to be "I Do. . .or Die" month, to celebrate it being on sale for $1.99 at Amazon, well, somehow the month went on fast forward and now we're at the halfway point. How the heck did that happen?
Anyway, I thought we could continue the festivities with a fun interview of the hero, Detective Ryan Nichols. This was conducted by Lady McNeill at the Mrs. Condit and Friends blog, and it still makes me smile when I read it. Here's a snippet for you:
Lady McNeill: So Detective Smirky Pants…I mean Detective Nichols so what was your initial impression when you first met Shelby?
Detective Nichols: Not you too! *smirks* I’m not sure I actually smirk, but I guess that’s not the worst of the nicknames Shelby has for me. As for my initial impression of her. . . *secretive smile* The first time I met Shelby was when I went to a rowdy bachelorette party she was at, to ask them to keep the noise down. She thought I was a stripper, dressed as a police officer. *grins* She was sassy and sexy and tried her hardest to get me to dance with her on the pool table. I got her down from the table, but I couldn’t get her out of my mind after that night. So when I saw her again, at the hospital, after her best friend Alexa was shot at the wedding, I was stunned. But I was doing my best to be cool and professional. I think it worked.
Yeah, I think it worked. He sure kept Shelby guessing! Make sure you go read the rest of the interview. Since the book is in Shelby's POV, this is your chance to find out what Ryan thinks about everything. :)
