Yay, it's WeWriWa time again, where you can read eight sentences from a great group of talented writers. Here's a little setup for my eight:
Shelby, the commitment-phobe bridesmaid, is staying with Ryan, the detective investigating the shootings at the wedding she was in, and since the shootings haven't stopped, he's become her full-time bodyguard.
They've had this strong connection from their first meeting, and she can't figure out why. Then Ryan drops the bombshell that they've met before--when he was a cop and had to break up a rowdy bachelorette party where an overserved Shelby mistook him for a stripper.
I groaned and put my forehead back on the table. "So you just mentally undressed me, and then had that 'aha' déjà vu moment. . ."
"I also had to include the mental image of you shimmying on a pool table, and me convincing you I wasn’t going to join you up there."
No wonder my body was so out of control. It had been at a fever pitch ever since that fateful night several years—and weddings—ago. How could I have forgotten bending down towards Ryan, and then his strong hands around my waist, followed by my body sliding slowly down his. . .
My face heated at an insane rate--in a few moments the table would become kindling, and we’d be roasting marshmallows for s'mores. Hopefully the man had an excellent fire insurance policy for the contents of his house.
For a little while longer, I Do. . . or Die is available for just 99 cents. The price will be going up soon, but until then, feel free to click on the links below.
Thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to reading everyone's WeWriWa snippets today.
