There are so many reasons I love this month. Yes, it's my birthday month, which I repeat so often, all of you know it without me having to ever mention anything again!
But I also love that it's time for NaNoWriMo. The past few years I haven't had a chance to take part in this wildly insane, wildly liberating writing fest, and I've been itching to do it again. The very first time I tried NaNo, I wrote (and finished!) Bad Ex Karma, which came out this past June.
So this year, I'm jumping in. I plan to do the first draft of The Debutante's Wager, the 4th and final book in The Curse of True Love series. I'm excited to work on this story, because I've spent the majority of 2015 working on contemporaries. It's time to zip back in time again.
And where is Book 3, Falling for His Duchess, you ask? Never fear! I'll be revising that while drafting Book 4.
But wait, there's more insanity!
I'm also finishing up the last edits for the final release of this year, a contemporary novella called Heartbreaker's Bet. It should be out in the wild in a couple more weeks.
Oh, and the book previous to Heartbreaker's Bet, which is Back on Track, published by Samhain. . .well they are having a 10-year anniversary celebration, and you can get your copy of Back on Track at the Samhain website for 20% off, through November 15th.
And finally, one more reason I love November -- four years ago this month I took the plunge into the uncharted waters of self-publishing, with my novella, Summer Lovin'. A month later I followed with Lord Midnight. I was a nervous wreck at the time, and I'll admit I still get nervous that something will go wrong during an upload and I'll break the entire self-publishing network. . .but so far so good.
So let's raise our coffee mugs, and our wine glasses, to the industrious month of November!
